I imagine you examined both coils closely already?
Re check the HT leads connections are tight, there are no cuts in the wiring etc...

well had just been riding as normal..never really considered the 400cdi being in it as it had previously revved higher than 10k...andway bought a 600 ecu and went to swap over- seen that oink wire was cut which may explain the 10k limiter..i hooked the pink wire up to the missing pin and changed to a 600 ignitor module...question is does the 600 ecu even use the pink wire? or is that only there for 400 limiter - incase someone has butchered the wire furthue down the wire.
Still to ride it so guess thats easiest way to see..

well took it for a spin and still seems to have limiter when riding..it revved high when i pulled clutch and revved engine..so may try remove clutch switch and see if that does it..

When I first got my 400 it ran pretty similar to your problems. I adjusted the fuel/air screws to the recommended, then balanced the carbs. It sorted out the problems.

yea carbs still need a balance. pulled off the pink wire this morn and happy days it revs to red line.. miss fires and runs like shyt in general but its a start...now i guess itson to the more traditional things to get it running right
