Hi all. My 400 k had a clutch cable that had no slack whatsoever. I got it like that when purchased. The bike, after a while, started to want to creep forward, so I knew it was time to sort it out. The cable was new, so it wasn't that. Next in line....clutch plates. Before I removed the cover I purchased an ebc set with stronger springs, and a new gasket. When they arrived I got down to removing the cover ready for the swap. I took out the old plates and measured them with my caliper......they were exactly the same as the new set. I found the problem, and made a video about it. If you've got that same problem with a maxed out clutch cable, before you go out and buy, (like me), a cable and plates, check out the cause of mine first......you could save yourself nearly 100 notes.....and grief.

Nice job.
This is likely to be useful info for other 400 and 600 owners.

Thanks. It is a situation that zzr owners will face at some period. Those parts in the video wear, no matter how much maintenance one gives their bike. I just wanted to show others that it's easily fixable.

Only 23000 kilometers. It seems alot of wear for so low mileage, but the design of the rod is not great. Anyone using the bike in traffic mostly would be using the clutch more often than a motorway user, so mileage is not the biggest factor. More clutch use, the faster the wear.
