Carbon stuff, a screen and new levers

Postby Rickmeister » Wed Jun 26, 2013 1:54 pm

Its started !

Just put some carbon side panels, the fairing inners, a Kawasaki flip up screen and finally some adjustable levers from China, via ebay ay £26 the pair delivered PartyDance

Very happy so far. Just the carbon hugger and rebuild the destroyed cush drive (thanks un-mamed dealer, your pre sale checks are rubbish). Going for the usual bike inner tube in small squares slotted into the cush drive rubbers approach.. Hope this gives me a snick - tastic gearchange rather than the agricultural crunch that it is now....

Wil try and get some pictures up asap...
At home in the Black Forest, great roads, great mountain biking.... and epic cake !

Probably not recommended but I rebuild my CG125's destroyed cush rubbers with Gasket Blue - given a day it turns into a rubbery substance and a few hundred miles of pissing about, knee downs (yes, on a CG!) and crap little wheelies (it's only got 9bhp ¬¬) it's still holding that back sprocket nicely.

These are good work arounds for the cush drive, I'm running a 96k mile zzr11 with a cush drive full of mountain bike inner tube squares and its been faultless (and a lot smoother than the ZZR14), for ages.
