Engine vibration

Postby zzrpete » Tue Jun 28, 2016 6:44 pm

Hi guys, after a little advice. After a slow but heavy spill I seem to have a vibration that wasn't there before, worse around 3.5k revs. Damage was severe for a slow spill all left hand side fairings trashed generator cover cracked footpeg the lot. I've replaced everything with genuine kawasaki parts changed oil and filters also new plugs in. Any ideas if I might of knocked something out of place. Thanks in advance. Peter.

Hi,

Initial thoughts are, has the silencer been knocked and part of the exhaust is touching the frame somewhere?

Or has the frame been slightly knocked and is touching part of the motor?

Is the generator itself OK,
Regards

Thanks for reply. The exhaust survived vurtually untouched thanks to the footpeg. I've checked best I can frame/engine seems to be fine. Will be taking generator cover off tomorrow to check for any damage. Thanks.

Just for clarity - your SIG says you have an 1100, this sounds like an issue you more gut have with an 11, but it's in the 1400 forum?
