Ahh, the famous Kawasaki clunk. Has this not made it into the owners manual yet? :D

yeah, I thought I saw a zzr1200 pull up beside me at the lights, but I couldn't quite see what it was in the mirrors. Then he put it into 1st...and all of a sudden, my doubts were washed away and I knew it was a ZZR :P

£000,000's in R&D, precision made parts to 1000th mm, and the result.
A Perfect Clunk every time.

It clanks, big deal. My 1400 does it so does the 1100. You are only there to pull away. Much more things to enjoy once underway. Ride it

Nah its no big deal. Just ride it. Do the miles and all these "issues" will go.

Me and wife went for a run today. I forgot how powerfull and weighty it is (well I did have wife on back) I have been riding an old 350lc through winter. Just on the good days.
Any way. Its now 1 year old. I have done 2300 miles, The rear tire is past it, and guess what. Picture this. You are are the traffic lights or outside your bikers cafe....you start her up and hit first gear. BANG!!!! f ing crap, peice of rubbish gear box. MY 1981 LC as smoother gears and how many miles has that been thrashed?

I always find holding the clutch in for 5secs+ solves it.
