zzr1100 head prob

hi guys
made a start today to do my valve clearance on the zzr1100d and when i got the rocker cover off i noticed what seems to be a crack down in the tube wher spark plug is it does not seem to be letting oil through....has anyone one seen anything like this before is it a new head or should i be ok...... put a link on for pic hope it works...T.I.A....

If it was mine, I would live with it, but keep an eye on it..... there's not exactly a lot of pressure there......

I don't think that is a crack. Looks to me like a casting flash that has been machined off?

I'd be tempted to have a little careful investigative probing with a dremel and a small burr if it's reachable. If it's a crack then if you can grind out the root without removing too much metal then that will stop it propagating further. If it's flashing then this will become apparent.

As above just a bit of excess in the casting that has been machined off mine is the same they do look worse if a bit of oil has weeped past the seal in the plug hole then got dirty over time and baked slightly with the heat.
